Boasting over 150 performances and 30 shows over 12 days in 3 theaters, FRIGID New York will kick off the annual North American Fringe Circuit with a bang!

In two newly-added performances, young people from the Roxy Regional Theatre's School of the Arts will present their fresh take on Edgar Lee Masters' classic SPOON RIVER ANTHOLOGY on Saturday, January 12, and Saturday, January 19, at noon.

Hirson and Stephen Schwartz's PIPPIN, directed by Diane Paulus, produced by Barry & Fran Weissler and Howard & Janet Kagan. PIPPIN will begin preview performances on Broadway Saturday, March 23, 2013 and officially open Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street). PIPPIN is currently playing through January 20, 2013 at the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) in Cambridge, MA, where Diane Paulus serves as Artistic Director. The beloved coming-of-age musical PIPPIN, with a book by Roger O. Hirson, music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, is directed by Diane Paulus with circus creation by Gypsy Snider of the Montreal-based circus company Les 7 doigts de la main (also known as 7 Fingers) and choreography by Chet Walker in the style of Bob Fosse. Set design for the A.R.T. production of PIPPIN is by Tony Award-winning designer Scott Pask, costume design by Dominique Lemieux, lighting design by Tony Award-winning designer Kenneth Posner, and sound design by Tony winner and A.R.T. Resident Sound Designer Clive Goodwin. Orchestration is by Larry Hochman (Tony winner for The Book of Mormon), Music Supervision by Nadia Di Giallonardo, and the Music Director is Charlie Alterman. Royal heir Pippin is spurred on by a mysterious group of performers to embark on a death-defying journey to find his "corner of the sky." The original production of PIPPIN, directed by Bob Fosse, premiered on Broadway in 1972. It won five Tony Awards and five Drama Desk Awards, and ran for close to 2000 performances before closing in 1977. PIPPIN is noted for many Broadway standards including "Corner of the Sky," "Magic To Do," "l Guess I'll Miss The Man," "Glory," "No Time at All," "Morning Glow," and "Love Song."

Considered by many to be one of the greatest plays of the 20th century, A Raisin in the Sun, Lorraine Hansberry's powerful drama, will open Friday, February 1 (8PM) at Palm Beach Dramaworks' Don & Ann Brown Theatre (201 Clematis Street). The production will play a strictly limited engagement through March 3, with specially priced preview performances on January 30 & 31. Artistic Director Michael Kahn and the Shakespeare Theatre Company announce casting for the title characters of The Hero/Traitor Repertory, the first in the Clarice Smith Repertory Series. STC Affiliated Artist Patrick Page will star in Coriolanus, running from March 28-June 2, 2013 and Steve Pickering will star in Wallenstein, running from March 29-May 31, 2013. Both Coriolanus and Wallenstein will be produced in repertory at the Company's Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW).

Irish Repertory Theatre continues its 25th Anniversary Season with DONNYBROOK! -a musical based on the movie 'The Quiet Man,' with music and lyrics by Johnny Burke and book by Robert E. The Ohio State University Department of Dance presents Shifting Focus, a winter dance concert featuring works by undergraduate and graduate student choreographers at 8 pm Thursday, January 24-Saturday, January 26. Saturday, February 2, 2013 marks Symphony Space's fourth annual The Music of Now Marathon. The genre-defying eight-hour concert (4 pm - midnight) is curated by Artistic Director Laura Kaminsky and hosted by WQXR's Terrance McKnight in the Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theater. From electronic experimentation to post-minimalism, spectralist sonorities to Latin jazz, the Music of Now Marathon offers an outstanding opportunity to discover a broad range of new music by emerging and established creators. Six world premieres, two US premieres, and three New York premieres will be heard.

Featuring music of downtown indie rocker Aldo Perez (from the band The Renaldo The Ensemble,) and the work of graphic novelist, Eric Shanower (author of the award-winning Age of Bronze series), Edward Einhorn's new adaptation reexamines Euripides' play about democracy versus ochlocracy (mob rule) and the role of religion in popular uprisings, subjects made particularly relevant by Arab Spring.

An immersive concert event featuring music from the most popular video games of all time, Video Games Live comes to Jacksonville's Times-Union Center's Moran Theater for one performance only on Thursday, January 31st at 7:30PM! Guest conductor Matthew Halls will lead the Columbus Symphony, Chorus, and guest vocalist Gillian Keith in a glorious Mozart showcase, featuring his last and greatest symphony and two gorgeous works for soprano and orchestra. American actor, singer and improvisational comedian, Mike McShane will be joining the cast of the new musical, THE TAILOR-MADE MAN, when it opens at the Arts Theatre in London on Thursday 21 February, previewing from 14 February. He will be playing the role of Louis B Mayer. Also in the cast will be the previously announced Faye Tozer as Marion Davies and Dylan Turner as William Haines, along with Bradley Clarkson as Jimmy Shields, Michael Cotton, Kay Murphy, Matt Wilman, Lauren Grant, Vivien Carter, Holly Easterbrook and Edward French.

American Lyric Theater presents the second public libretto reading for the 2012-2013 season as part of its popular series, The Living Libretto, at the National Opera Center on January 21, 2013. Featuring guest actors from the Broadway and off-Broadway stage, each event is the culminating reading of extensive libretto workshops conducted for new operas currently being written by ALT Resident Artists.
