The Hollywood Fringe Festival announced today the full slate of feature and short films to be presented at this year's Fringe [Film] event (see the full schedule below). All Fringe [Film] screenings will be hosted at the Elephant Studio (1076 Lillian Way) except for Opening Night on June 13th, when the day's films will be screened at the Fringe Central Mainstage (at Open Fist Theatre, 6209 Santa Monica Blvd).

Tonight is the official opening of Roundabout Theatre Company's new production of Simon Gray's The Common Pursuit, directed by Moises Kaufman. A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held for WICKED, which is returning to the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center with performances from May 30 - June 24. Two and one-half hours prior to each performance, people who present themselves at the Ticket Center Stage Box Office, located in the Wintergarden of the Schuster Center, will have their names placed in a lottery drum; thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person. Lottery participants must have a valid photo ID when submitting their entry form, if chosen, when purchasing tickets.

Bombus and Berylline or the Bumblebee and the Hummingbird is described as 'an original work full of beautiful visuals, light-hearted music, and imaginative storytelling. The show is based on character concepts by company members Rachel Petrie and Ryan Lear, paintings from local visual artist Amy Crickenberger Oeth, and stories from children of all ages.'

Friday, June 1, Outlaugh 2012, an 8-night comedy festival featuring standup, sketches, short films, essays, improv and1-person shows, kicks off. America's first and continuing queer Comedy Festival, Outlaugh has previously presented such names as Lea DeLaria, Margaret Cho, and Bob Smith.

American Leg is Josephine Meckseper's first exhibition in Canada. For this site-specific work, Meckseper has created eight self-contained window treatments in the Contemporary Art Gallery's street-front vitrines.
