The Cooperstown Summer Music Festival's 14th season features a mix of top classical and jazz artists performing in Cooperstown, NY from July 8 - August 24. The Festival opens Sunday, July 8 with Jason Vieaux, guitar, Ms. Chesis, Nadir Khashimov, violin; Daniel Lee, viola; and Eric Han, cello at The Farmers' Museum.

Simon & Schuster Audio today announced the publication of MACBETH, a new audio program based on William Shakespeare's timeless work, interpreted and performed by Tony Award-winning and Emmy nominated actor Alan Cumming. The program will be published on July 3, 2012 to coincide with the limited engagement of Cumming's one-man performance of MACBETH at New York's Lincoln Center Festival. The first ever Yo Solo Festival of Latino Solo Shows, the latest collaboration between Teatro Vista, Chicago's premier Equity Latino ensemble theater company, and Collaboraction, a Chicago-based arts organization of collaborative theater and experience makers, was announced today.

New York's Rock and Roots Radio station WFUV (90.7 FM/wfuv.org) has announced that Don McGee will be the permanent host of the award-winning program Mixed Bag, which airs every Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. Radio icon Pete Fornatale originated the program nearly 30 years ago and hosted it until his death in April of this year. McGee has been the primary guest host for Mixed Bag, as well as a fill-in host for WFUV's weekday morning show.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) will present the World Premiere of the new play, I Am (Not) My Mother, based on true stories from and about the women of Frederick. Written by Suzanne Beal and directed by MET Associate Artistic Director Gené Fouché the show runs from July 6 through the 22nd at the MET, located in the historic FSK Hotel at 31 W Patrick Street. Proceeds from the production will support the programs of the Women's Giving Circle of Frederick.
