BroadwayWorld has learned that MEMPHIS star Chad Kimball will take an indefinite hiatus from the Tony-winning show beginning October 23, 2011 due to nerve damage he's suffered in his neck as a result of performing the demanding role of 'Huey Calhoun' eight nights a week. Kimball created the role 'Huey' and has been bringing him to life at the Shubert Theatre for nearly two years. The nerve damage began to create problems for Kimball a couple of months ago, and he has missed several performances since.

The Tony Award-winning revival of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical returned to Broadway on July 5 at the St. James Theatre and officially opened July 14. The 10-week only ‘Summer of Love' run will conclude on September 10, 2011. Yesterday, cast members stopped by Borders for a performance and CD signing. Check out the photo coverage below!

The Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre has announced that national radio host Robert Aubry Davis (WETA's 'Around Town' and Sirius/XM Radio) will be making his stage debut, playing the iconic role of Edna in its upcoming production of the celebrated musical Hairspray. Directed by Signature Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer, Hairspray will run from November 21st through January 29th. Based on the 1988 cult film directed by John Waters, Hairspray features music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman, and a book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan. The musical, which played on Broadway for 6 ½ years, took home eight 2003 Tony Awards, including 'Best Musical.'

Manhattan Theatre Club has just announced that Tony and Emmy Award winner Cynthia Nixon will return to MTC to star in the Broadway premiere of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play WIT by Margaret Edson, directed by MTC's award-winning Artistic Director Lynne Meadow. The limited engagement of WIT will begin previews Thursday, January 5, 2012 and open Thursday, January 26, 2012 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.

Michael Reidel reports in the New York Post this morning that Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson star Benjamin Walker will be back in the New York theater loop when he leads a reading of Bus Stop next month as cowboy Bo Decker. Amanda Seyfried will co-star alongside Walker as Cherie. Shuler Hensley will also participate. Hollywood's Paula Wagner, who owns the rights to the project will produce. Scott Ellis directs. A revival of Bus Stop is reportedly bound for Broadway.

Goodspeed Musicals, the first two time Tony Award-winning theatre in the country is presenting Show Boat through September 17, 2011 after announcing an extension. After kicking off the inaugural season of Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater, shattering all box office records from Arena Stage's 60-year history and rounding up 10 Helen Hayes Awards nominations, Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! has returned for a summer run under the direction of Artistic Director Molly Smith. The revival, featuring the entire original principal cast and most of the ensemble, has already broken more company records by selling the highest number of single tickets for a production in 24 hours when tickets went on sale March 3, 2011. Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! began performances on July 8, 2011 and opened July 14. The production runs through October 2, 2011 in the Fichandler Stage. This is shaping up to be a big week for Rock of Ages star Constantine Maroulis. BroadwayWorld has confirmed with a production source that the former American Idol contestant and original 'Drew' in Rock of Ages, will be making a cameo appearance in the film. Maroulis lost the role of 'Drew' to newcomer Diego Boneta. Sources are mum on what role Maroulis will play. To date, Maroulis has been tied up with the Rock of Ages tour, which concludes its engagement on July 24 in Washington D.C.

According to published reports, BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON star, Benjamin Walker, and actress Mamie Gummer, daught of Meryl Streep, wed this past weekend in an intimate ceremomy at the home of Streep and husband Don Gummer.
