Last week, Asolo Repertory Theatre announced the complete cast of its upcoming production of Bonnie & Clyde a thrilling new musical with book by Ivan Menchell (The Cemetery Club, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang); music by Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel); lyrics by Tony Award-winner Don Black (Sunset Boulevard, Song and Dance); Music Supervision, Arrangements and Orchestrations by John McDaniel; and direction and musical staging by Tony Award- winner Jeff Calhoun (Deaf West's Big River and Pippin, Grease!). The production runs from November 16 - December 19, 2010 on the Asolo Rep mainstage-The Mertz Theatre. Signature Theatre Company's production of Tony Kushner's ANGELS IN AMERICA: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, began performances Tuesday, September 14. The first New York revival of Kushner's Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play is directed by Michael Greif. The production, originally slated to run through December 19, has been extended a second time through February 20, 2011. TV Guide reports today that it is quite possible everyone's favorite cheerleading coach, Sue Sylvester, may be getting married on an upcoming episode of GLEE. According to the report: 'Looking to steal some of the glory away from the over-the-top wedding Kurt's planning for his dad and Finn's mom (think doves and glitter!), Sue (Jane Lynch) announces to the school that she, too, is getting married. To whom, you ask? All I'll say is that it's the only person Sue views as her equal.'

Legendary theater writer Joseph Stein passed away yesterday, October 24, 2010 at the age of 98. Stein leaves behind the musicals Fiddler on the Roof, Zorba, and Mr. Wonderful, to name a few.

THE MOTHERF**KER WITH THE HAT by Stephen Adly Guirgis will make its world premiere on Broadway starring Bobby Cannavale, Chris Rock, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Annabella Sciorra and Yul Vázquez. Directed by Anna D. Shapiro, the production will open on Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street, New York City). The strictly limited 14-week engagement will begin previews on Tuesday, March 22, 2011.

In light of the recent attention on suicide amongst gay youth driven by bullies, actors, musician, politicians and more have been teaming up with the Trevor Project for the 'It Gets Better' campaign, encouraging gay or questioning youth to hold their heads high and seek help. In the following video, President Barack Obama delivers a message to the LGBT community that 'It Gets Better,' and that there are caring adults available to help.
