The Emory University Symphony Orchestra (EUSO) and the Emory University Chorus perform together in free concerts on Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21 at 8 p.m. in Emory's Schwartz Center for Performing Arts. The program features three well-known pieces from Classical and Romantic literature; Beethoven's 'Egmont Overture,' Brahms' 'Nänie,' and Mozart's 'Coronation Mass.'

Theatre Out, Orange County's gay and lesbian theatre company, who brought you recent hits Avenue Q and The Wild Party, presents the Tony Award-Winning musical SPRING AWAKENING beginning April 6, 2012. Running through May 5, this musical relives the trials and tribulations of becoming an adult.

The cast of Roadside gathered for the first day of rehearsal for the second musical in the spring series Musicals in Mufti: The Tom Jones Festival at York Theatre Company: Roadside with Book & Lyrics by Tom Jones and Music by Harvey Schmidt. Travel back to 1958 to Springfield High School and meet the Wonderettes, four girls from the song leading squad who step up to perform at their senior prom. As last minute replacements, Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy rename themselves 'The Marvelous Wonderettes,' and rally together to entertain their classmates in four-part harmony at the Springfield High School Class of 1958 senior prom.

Actor/filmmaker Alex Hyde-White ("Dexter," "Game Change," "The Fantastic Four," "Buck Rogers") will be in St. Louis for a one night only showing of his documentary "Three Days of Hamlet" at the Tivoli on April 18th, 7pm. The Lost Treasures Collection, a series of rarely performed musicals, continues its second season at Lakewood Theatre Company with the musical, Goldilocks, directed by Ron Daum. This show, the third in a series of musicals featuring movie themes, is presented in a concert/cabaret style and will be performed for two nights only, Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21, 2012 on Lakewood's Side Door stage. The musical features a book by Jean and Walter Kerr, music by Leroy Anderson, and lyrics by the Kerrs and Joan Ford. The title sponsor for the series is Banner Bank.

As Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards turns 25, E! will provide live coverage of the celebrity-filled famous orange carpet at the Galen Center at USC in Los Angeles. E!'s 'Live From the Red Carpet' and hosts, Ross Mathews and Kelly Osbourne, will be on-hand reporting on all of the celebrity arrivals - including Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez - chatting with the nominees, seeing what everyone is wearing, and finding out who's ready to get slimed!

Former Broadway producer and white-collar criminal Garth Drabinsky will not get an appeal with the Supreme Court of Canada, the Ottawa Citizen reports. The Canada Supreme Court announced Thursday that it would not hear Drabinksy's case.

In a return engagement with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO), The Collegiate Chorale will perform 11 concerts in Tel Aviv and Haifa with the IPO under the baton of conductors Zubin Mehta and Riccardo Muti. They will then travel with the IPO to Austria to make their Salzburg Festival debut, the first performance there by an American choir since the Chicago Symphony Chorus appeared in 1989.

Kellie Martin (ER) will guest star as Nicole Galassini, a smart, no-nonsense expert in African geopolitics and a Captain in the Army's Intelligence Division, in multiple episodes of Lifetime's series Army Wives beginning Sunday, April 1. In the episode titled 'Viral' which premieres Sunday, April 1 at 9:00PM ET, after David gets into a sports accident with a fellow classmate, news of his condition spreads and causes controversy. Trevor and Roxy mediate relationship issues between one of Trevor's soldiers and his wife. Claudia Joy's distaste for Jackie starts to come between her and Denise and the tribe gathers in support of Joan, Roland and David.

Fuse Theater Ensemble is taking on Shakespeare's works in Sonnetscape. This World Premiere original performance piece weaves all 154 of Shakespeare's sonnets into the narrative that has been purposefully made mysterious by those afraid of its consequences. People attribute many firsts to William Shakespeare, but in Sonnetscape we see that the Bard also wrote the first great collection of literature detailing the specifics of homosexual love and its layered social complexities. But did he intend for anybody else to read these poems? And did their unauthorized publication in 1609 ultimately lead to his downfall and subsequent historical sanitization? What if the reason we know so little about Shakespeare's life is because his audience knew too much?

WhatsOnStage.com reports that the musical version of Whitney Houston's film The Bodyguard will begin previews November 6 at West End's Adelphi Theatre. An official opening will likely occur in December. The musical will be directed by Thea Sharrock and will feature Tony Award winning actress Heather Headley as the leading lady. Michael Harrison and David Ian produce.

Then the last to weeks is 'Judy at Carnegie Hall', Peter Mac celebrates the 51st Anniversary of Judy Garland's concert by recreating it just as Garland did in 1961.

April 19 and 20, 2012, EarShot (the National Orchestral Composition Discovery Network) and the San Diego Symphony (SDS), Jahja Ling, Music Director, will present the San Diego Symphony New Music Readings at Copley Symphony Hall (750 B Street, San Diego). On Friday, April 20 at 10am, the public will have the opportunity for a behind-the-scenes look at the process of bringing brand new orchestral works to life, as music by the four selected composers is read by the San Diego Symphony under the baton of guest conductor, James Feddeck. The composers-Paul Frucht, David Garner, Adam Greene, and Chen-Hui Jen-were selected through a national call for scores, which included over 250 applications. Two of the composers have strong ties to San Diego: Greene is an alumnus, and Jen is a current graduate student at University of California, San Diego (UCSD). During the Readings these young composers will receive feedback from mentor composers Robert Beaser, Rand Steiger, and John Corigliano, the conductor, and SDS principal musicians.

The first ever, full-length Broadway Las Vegas season at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts features eight of Broadway's biggest hits, beginning with the world-wide phenomenon WICKED.
