Water Works Theatre company is adding a new element to its summer Shakespeare in the Park in Royal Oak event with the creation of the Water Works Academy for young actors. The program geared to high school and pre-college students will run July 26-30 in Starr Jaycee Park in Royal Oak. The Summer Session of Clown Classes begins June 7

'The Sound of Music' will play this summer at Blue Springs City Theatre. The production is in need of an orchestra director for the show. The show dates are July 15-18, 22-25. Performances are at the Blue Springs High School Auditorium. The position pays $150.
