Put your dancing shoes on as legendary disco group; Chic featuring Nile Rodgers, are heading to Australia. They will perform a series of rare and must-see gigs across New South Wales, Adelaide and Victoria in March.Having been absent from Australian shores for more than 10 years, the band who have hits spanning four decades, will be performing their much-loved chart-topping tunes; ‘Le Freak’, ‘I Want Your Love’, ‘Everybody Dance’ and ‘Good Times’ with founding member Nile Rodgers. Also recognised as one of the world’s most successful and influential music producers, Nile has written iconic tracks including ‘We are Family’ for Sister Sledge, ‘I’m Coming Out’ for Diana Ross and produced two of the most popular albums of all time – Madonna’s ‘Like a Virgin’ and David Bowie’s ‘Let’s Dance’. Another career defining moment for Nile was his Live Aid performance with Madonna, to a global audience of millions.The tour will see Chic put in a headline performance at boutique festival – Playground Weekender in NSW, before taking to the stage at the Womad Festival in Adelaide and Golden Plains in Victoria. The band will also be performing shows at Sydney’s Metro Theatre and the Billboard in Melbourne.
