THE HANSARD MONOLOGUES Set for Seymour Centre

By:

The Seymour Centre is pleased to announce the incredible line up of Australian talent performing in The Hansard Monologues: Age of Entitlement, showing at the Seymour Centre from 5th to 13th August.

Set to take to the Seymour Centre's York Theatre stage under the direction of the Seymour Centre's artistic director TIM JOnes, are a stellar selection of Australia's finest stage and screen acting talent, including Andrew McFarlane (ABC's Cleverman and Glitch, the ASTRA award-winning Devil's Playground), Heather Mitchell (STC's Hayfever, TV's A Place to Call Home), the Helpmann Award nominated Michelle Doake (Bell Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Cruise Control) and John Gaden (Belvoir's Wild Duck and Seventeen and MTC's Straight White Men).

Fresh from the carnage of Canberra's political chopping block, The Hansard Monologues: Age of Entitlement captures the passion and the policies, the banter and the boats, the lies and the lifestyle choices, the tantrums and the travel rorts, the spills and the sex appeal of the 44th Parliament of Australia.

We'll laugh, we'll cry, we'll consider leaving the country as we embark on a 100-minute helicopter ride through our democracy in action, only using the words spoken by our politicians - who, let's face it, someone, somewhere voted for.
