STRAIGHT WHITE KNIGHT Premieres at the 2018 Melbourne Fringe Festival

John the Knight will fight the Bear and save the Princess because that is what Knights are supposed to do!

The incalculably heroic John the Knight departs on an impossibly manly quest to defeat a bear and save the princess. Will he kill the bear and be famous throughout the land? Will he live happily ever after with the Princess of his dreams? Will he do it without sweating in his moustache too much?

Follow Oliver Cowen's clown in a silent, satirical, spectacular quest to slay privilege, rescue non-binary royalty, and escape the chokehold of toxic masculinity. Help John the Knight cope with the dismantling of his privilege, one patriarchal insecurity at a time. Straight White Knight is the fairy tale that every little boy should have been told, though is only for adults.

As part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival, this show is designed to be accessible to the deaf and hard of hearing, people who use wheelchairs and mobility aids, and people who are linguistically diverse. This show is not child friendly.

Oliver Cowen made his Melbourne Comedy Festival debut in 2018 in the bizarre adventure The Tales of Witchmen with fellow performer Kayla Hamill.

Straight White Knight opens on September 17th and runs 7 nights until September 23rd.
