REBEL - A Live Rock Circus Tribute To David Bowie Comes to Melbourne

A spectacular live concert and rock & roll circus tribute to the original rock rebel, David Bowie, is set to explode on stage at this year's Midsumma Festival 30 Jan- 3 Feb at Melba Spiegeltent, Melbourne.

Marking 3 years in January since the death of the Thin White Duke, the premiere of REBEL in Melbourne will take audiences on a thrilling ride of glittering glam rock, phenomenal acrobatics, breathtaking aerials, and heart-stopping sideshow.

An onstage band combined with circus and comedy brings to life an incredible body of Bowie's work that spanned over 5 decades, and an aesthetic that broke new ground and inspired legions of generations and fans all over the globe.

"My performances have got to be theatrical experiences for me as well as for the audience. I don't want to climb out of my fantasies in order to go on stage - I want to take them on stage with me", Bowie legendarily said. Hailed as a master of reinvention, visual presentation and stunning stagecraft, Bowie's ethos served as inspiration to create REBEL which is choreographed, directed and produced by Melbourne's Highwire Entertainment.
