Looking for something fun to do with the kids these summer school holidays?

Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) has just the ticket!

Before it flies out of town make sure you don't miss the fantasmagorical musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with performances on until Sunday 22 December in a strictly limited season.

The kids will be as quiet as mice when Angelina And friends pirouette live onto the Concert Hall stage in Angelina Ballerina The Mousical, from 8 to 12 January 2014. Based on the award-winning children's book series by author Katharine Holabird and illustrator Helen Craig, this magical show is packed full of singing and dancing and is being presented in Australia for the first time.

The littlies will also be enchanted by Charlie and Lola's Best Bestest Play, a delightful mix of puppets and music in QPAC's Cremorne Theatre from 4 to 25 January 2014. Based on the popular books by Lauren Child and adapted from some of the funniest episodes of the hit series, this play is sure to be enjoyed by audiences both young and old.

The whole family will be keen to experience the all new spine-tingling chills and awe-inspiring thrills of The Illusionists 2.0, a sophisticated magic extravaganza of unprecedented proportions presented in QPAC's Concert Hall from 19 to 27 January 2014.

If you have High School aged students keen to tread the boards why not give them chance to be tutored by the stars of acclaimed productions Tequila Mockingbird, Animal Farm and 1984 in a shake & stir QPAC Holiday Workshop conducted by Brisbane's own shake & stir theatre co from 16 to 21 December 2013.

The workshop will consist of a series of master classes, educating young performers in areas such as Theatresports and Improvisation, Musical Theatre, Film and TV, Shakespeare, Verbatim Theatre, Greek Theatre, Physical Theatre, Script Work, Stage Combat, Auditions/Castings and TV Presenting.

And while you are visiting QPAC you may like to take advantage of the new Under 12s menu which includes great meal options and a drink for $9.50. With simple, tasty meals they will enjoy, and family friendly prices, the whole family can enjoy dining at QPAC before your performance!
