Described by ABC Arts as one of Britain's most important contemporary playwrights, Simon's stage adaptation of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time received seven Olivier Awards including Best New Play and continues to captivate audiences on the West End and Broadway.

Earlier this year, MTC produced the Australian premiere of Birdland, Simon's thrilling exposé of fame and rock-stars, and his play Heisenberg made its world premiere to rave reviews at the Manhattan Theater Club in New York, starring Tony and Emmy award-winner Mary-Louise Parker.

His other works include On the Shore of the Wide World, winner of the 2005 Olivier Award for Best New Play; Port, winner of the 2001 Pearson Award for Best New Play; Pornography, which toured extensively including to Melbourne in 2009 for the Melbourne Festival; Motortown; Song From Faraway; The Funfair; and Carmen Disruption.
