LEGENDS IN CONCERT Coming to Melbourne

The original, largest and widely regarded as the world's greatest live celebrity tribute show, Legends in Concert, is coming to The Palms at Crown Melbourne in January 2017.

Direct from Las Vegas, this internationally acclaimed production takes audiences on an electrifying journey through the songbooks of some of music's legendary singers with world-renowned tribute artists, a live band, talented singers and dancers, lavish multimedia theatrical sets and authentic costumes.

The Legends in Concert tribute artists will sing with pitch-perfect live vocals on The Palms at Crown stage in Melbourne as they portray Prince, Elvis Presley, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Adele and, for the first time, Olivia Newton-John. This will be their only Australian performance.

Acclaimed American singer Kelly Smith is performing as Olivia Newton-John and was chosen by the former Melburnian herself in a worldwide "You're the One That I Want" contest held last year. Smith joins the Legends in Concert cast as the first tribute artist to portray Newton-John.

Aspiring performers were encouraged to submit a video of themselves singing a classic Newton-John song from any era and be dressed as the Grammy award-winning singer.

Smith, who had previously performed in Legends in Concert's productions as a tribute to icon Cher, was one of two contest winners and she will join the cast in Melbourne at The Palms at Crown following rehearsals at Legends in Concert's headquarters in Las Vegas which Newton John will participate in.

Legends in Concert made its Las Vegas debut in 1983 as an initial six-week engagement at Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino. It is the longest-running show in Las Vegas' history with its flagship show at the historic Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel and Casino.

It has been over 15 years since the show has toured to The Palms at Crown, but Legends in Concert travels constantly around the world with thousands of annual performances on cruise ships, numerous theatres and casino showrooms. Legends in Concert has entertained over 30 million fans over the past 33 years.

The tribute artists performing in Melbourne at The Palms at Crown showroom cross a dynamic spectrum of music. The performers not only look like the stars they portray, they use only their natural voices to pay homage to their iconic music counterpart.

Performers at Legends in Concert include David Brighton (pictured right) as David Bowie and Frank Moore (pictured below right) as Prince.

Brighton has been performing in live concerts and making radio and television appearances worldwide as a celebrity look-alike/sound-alike since 1994. He is considered the world's best David Bowie tribute artist, and is one of the most entertaining performers to hit the stage.

And audiences shriek in disbelief at Moore's uncanny accuracy and Prince-like energy as he performs Prince favourites including Purple Rain, I Would Die 4 U and Baby I'm a Star.

Fronting his own band in high school, strangers told him he looked like Prince. Eventually, he started doing impressions of Prince in local contests. Audience response was incredible and Frank began perfecting Prince's iconic live vocal ability.

The other featured cast members portraying Elvis, Michael Jackson, Adele and Madonna are also regarded as the very best in the world. All were carefully selected to help insure Legends in Concert's long awaited return to The Palms at Crown in Melbourne will be an unforgettable experience while performances take place during an the especially festive time of year with the Australian Open tennis tournament underway.
