John Dore to Bring Solo Show to The Butterfly Club
Melbourne based comedian John Dore has been receiving critical and public acclaim for his honest, approachable and jaw-achingly funny work over the past five years. Earning plaudits and recommendations from some of the finest global comedy critics including Steve Bennett, of Chortle in his recent MICF season, John is being widely touted as a star on the rise
Full of sidesplitting stories and observations on the annoyances and eccentricities of daily life, Revolving Dore is a solid hour of hilarious stand up with no extraneous fluff. Every-day experiences are turned on their head to highlight the absurd, characters you recognize from your own neighborhood are celebrated and ridiculed in equal measure, and the mundane becomes the extraordinary.
John has headlined in the Perth and Melbourne fringe festival, was a finalist in RAW Comedy and Green Faces. He has regularly written for and starred in channel 31's Live On Bowen.
