INTERPLAY by Sydney Dance Company Coming to Sumner at Southbank Theatre, April 30-May 10

Interplay by Sydney Dance Company is currently stunning audiences during its world premiere season in Sydney. Following a short season in Canberra, the Melbourne premiere season of Interplay will open on April 30 at The Sumner at Southbank Theatre. Audience responses and reviews for the production have been overwhelmingly glowing. Sydney Morning Herald described the triple bill program as being "danced with crackling energy and virtuosity by the company and showcased with flair" whilst The Australian hailed the dancers as being in "shape shifting, magisterial form".

A highlight of the Company's 45th anniversary program, Interplay offers Melbourne audiences the chance to see Australia's finest contemporary dancers performing works from three prodigiously talented and internationally acclaimed contemporary choreographers - Sydney Dance Company Artistic Director Rafael Bonachela, Italian born, Frankfurt based choreographer Jacopo Godani, who was recently officially proposed as the new Artistic Director of The Forsythe Company, and Melbourne's Gideon Obarzanek.
