GEORGIA WITH A G Set for 2015 Midsumma Festival

At age 7 Georgia Darcy knew who she really was; at age 47 she remembered. The cabaret artist has been dazzling audiences with her sparkle, energy and achingly-beautiful moments she brings to the cabaret stage.

3 years ago, Georgia moved from Melbourne to Victor Harbor (SA) to be with her wife, Louise. The move created a connection to the Adelaide Cabaret community and POW ~ Georgia emerged as the performer she was born to be. Over the last year she has developed a strong connection with The Butterfly Club, where she sold out one of her debut performances earlier this year. Her 2015 Midsumma season of Georgia With A G marks her triumphant return.

Georgia with a G is a candid exposé of her life that hangs together like a garland of jewels. Audiences will be moved to tears one moment, and the next they'll be falling in the aisles hearing her funny characters and stories that are so kooky they can only be true. Georgia is a natural storyteller, a girl tomboy in drag, a charismatic stage-presence; confident, approachable and fun. Georgia is joined on stage by Cecile, the kleptomaniac maid (played by Georgia's wife Louise).

This cabaret show is full of pure joy and hilarity with powerful songs and fascinating insights into the larger than life persona of Georgia With A G. Think Liza Minnelli meets Edith Piaf in a lesbian bar.
