Hot on the heels of our win at the 2010 ATG Curtain Call Awards and the overwhelming success of A Midsummer Night's Dream, the University of Adelaide Theatre Guild is proud to present First Time Out 2010, Adumbrations. First Time Out is an experimental writing and theatre project designed to explore the infinite relationship between a piece of writing and its performance. It is a rare opportunity for student writers to write anything at all and have it interpreted and performed on stage.

Directed by well-known Adelaide performer and director, Michael Allen, First Time Out is a University driven project, led by the writing of students and with a predominantly student focus.... and you can get a sneak peek of the show at this year's University of Adelaide Open Day on August 15 where Adumbrations will have its first airing in the Barr Smith Library Reading Room at 11.15am, 12 midday, and 12.45pm.

Adumbrations, meaning to "make a resemblance of", follows the success of 2009's Altered States of Consciousness and 2008's Page #1, Scene #1, and is sure to draw an enthusiastic crowd of lovers of great theatre and great writing.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased from The Theatre Guild on 8303 5999 or booked online at www.adelaide.edu.au/theatreguild.
