After a sell-out season at the 2017 Adelaide Fringe, Australia's very own singing cook, Michelle Pearson, is bringing her travelling kitchen to Melbourne where food and music lovers will be treated to a delicious three-course meal and award-winning matching wines while being serenaded by the soulful songstress as she cooks for you!

Pearson's Comfort Food Cabaret is a truly unique Fringe experience which walks a line between cooking demo, supper club and cabaret performance. It's set to be Melbourne's most delectable dinner party, taking place in a secret Southbank penthouse from Friday 15 September to Sunday 17 September as it makes its Melbourne debut.

"This is one dinner party invitation you shouldn't turn down." - Simon Wilkinson, The Advertiser

Comfort Food Cabaret received widespread critical acclaim in its debut season in February and was hugely popular with Adelaide Fringe audiences. Michelle and her well-fed musicians performed to over 900 people at the iconic Adelaide Central Market where audiences enjoyed Pearson's exquisite voice, her welcoming hospitality, heart-warming and hilarious stories and a selection of Michelle's favourite comfort food.

Think grilled haloumi and peaches, slow-cooked pork and tomato sugo with ingredients crowdsourced from Italian neighbourhoods across South Australia, and a sticky date pudding inspired by tales of romance and human connection.

Michelle will be joined in Melbourne by AaRon Nash on keys, who will perform the perfect playlist to accompany this taste of South Australia, with songs from artists as diverse as Ella Fitzgerald to Katy Perry and Cold Chisel reflecting the role food and the culture of cooking has played in Michelle's childhood, romantic encounters, family and friendships.

Michelle is a widely sought-after vocalist and cabaret performer who also works as a cook, caterer and event management specialist. Comfort Food Cabaret is the result of Michelle's two passions coming together and in a warm, intimate and delicious dinner setting.

"Comfort Food Cabaret is where my two worlds collide," said Michelle.

"In recent years, my obsession with food and cooking has grown to the point that it rivals my love for music and performing. So this show is all about bringing together my two passions for connecting people through food and moving people through music,' she said.

During each performance, audience members will learn how to make each recipe and will enjoy a three-course meal of seasonal comfort food matched with Fox Creek Wines, beer or non-alcoholic beverages, and will be entertained with song and some seriously good dinner party conversation.

Comfort Food Cabaret makes its Melbourne Fringe debut on Friday 15 September and will feature three intimate dinner party performances until Sunday 17 September. All ticketholders will be advised of the venue address prior to the show.

"Pearson gives Nigella Lawson a run for her money... a joy to the ears - sensual and pitch perfect, with a belt to envy." - Stage Whispers
