Tickets to THE DARLING at Hill Country Community Theatre Now on Sale
Tickets are now on sale for the one-person show "The Darling" performed by Lisa Dalton and presented at the Hill Country Community Theatre. Reservations can be made by calling (830) 798-8944.
Based on the short story by Anton Chekov, "The Darling" is the story of Olenka, a woman who adores and fantasizes about the people around her. She is prone to falling in love, and when she does, she adopts the thoughts and opinions of the man with whom she marries. When her husband dies, she finds herself lacking opinions until she falls in love again and takes on the next man's opinions. Is she an object of pity, ridicule or admiration? Victor S. Tkachenko directed and translated this work that features actor Lisa Dalton who transforms into all the story's characters as the plot unfolds.
"The Darling" will be presented for two performances only at the Hill Country Community Theatre, 4003 W FM 2147, Cottonwood Shores, TX 78657, on Saturday, October 10 at 7:00 PM, and Sunday, October 11 at 2:15 PM. Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for students with a valid ID.
