LaCenterra and KVPAC Present 'Making a Mark' 4/14-5/21

By:

The extraordinary display features the works of young artists whose lives have been touched by cancer and blood disorders and provides a unique focus on their personal issues. The exhibit will open to the public Wednesday, April 14 at 5:30 p.m. in Ste. C 140 of LaCenterra (between Simply Cinco and Panera Bread) and runs through April 28 before moving to KVPAC gallery for an additional three-week showing. The exhibit will close to the public Friday, May 21 at 5:30 p.m. in KVPAC Building 2 with a special child-friendly "Whine & Cheese-its" cocktail party and performance of Cinderella. Families are welcome!

Guests are invited to fill out a "Postcard from the Road" that will be sent directly to the artist or the artist's family to offer greetings and encouragement.

While this exhibit serves to shine a light on these amazing artists, it also highlights KVPAC's "Healing Arts" programs and commitment to Texas Children's Hospital by way of volunteer art lessons at the Texas Medical Center campus and the future Texas Children's HospitAl West Campus.

Gallery hours will be offered from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. daily (excluding Sundays) with extended hours offered until 8:00 p.m. each Wednesday at both locations. Groups of 10 or more schedule your visit by contacting Kristin Miller at kmiller@kvpac.org or www.KVPAC.org.
