Austin Shakespeare, celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year presents its fifth annual Luminalia on Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 7-10 pm at the Zilker Clubhouse, 200 Zilker Clubhouse Road (off Rollingwood Drive), Austin, Texas.

The event-modeled on a 17th-century English masque-combines pageantry, poetry, dance, music, spectacle and feasting. The evening begins in a brilliantly-lit setting crowned by stars and the skyline of Austin. The event benefits Austin Shakespeare, a 501(c)3 organization that, in addition to performances throughout the year, produces a Young Shakespeare program and Shakespeare in the Park at Zilker each year.

Guests will be summoned to follow actors from the Austin Shakespeare stage and dancers from the American Repertory Ensemble through a progress of Shakespearian scenes, arriving at a dinner. Music and recitation continue throughout the evening. A "Paddles Up" auction will also take place.

Accessories waiting at the gate will lure guests toward the celestial mood, and costumes are encouraged. Luminalia guests arrived costumed and masked will be encouraged to participate in the evening's production.

Costume World at 8207 Burnet Road, Austin, TX is offering a 10% discount to event participants and can be contacted at (512) 323-5949. Please mention the Austin Shakespeare Luminalia when renting costumes.
