Aurora Theatre Expands Swing Series with a Dance Event 9/24
By: Gabrielle Sierra
For three years Aurora theatre has been presenting the very popular concert series, Swing Night at Aurora Theatre featuring the Metro Jazz Club. In an effort to expand this series while giving folks who want to get up and dance a better opportunity to do so, the series will expand with Aurora's Swing Dance at 550 Trackside on Friday September 24 at 8:00pm. Feel like one of the celebrities on Dancing with the Stars while dancing and enjoying the big band sounds of the Metro Jazz Club. The Metro Jazz Club is a smokin'-hot 17 piece band accompanied by a sultry chanteuse, the magnificent Maxine Cummins.
Aurora Theatre is partnering on this dance event with 550 Trackside, Gwinnett County's premier event facility. 550 Trackside is located just north of the Lawrenceville square, right across for the old Lawrenceville train depot. The building has completely been restored and is absolutely gorgeous with striking architectural features that have remained through its 100 years of existence. Granite walls, archways and original wood have been restored to their original beauty. There will be ample room for dancing, and some seating along the sides and onto the patio which opens directly into the ballroom.Aurora's Swing Dance at 550 Trackside
