Actor's Express Presents FAIR USE, Runs 11/5-12/5

Actor's Express presents the world premiere production of a new comedy, Fair Use, Nov. 5 through Dec. 5. This new play by Sarah Gubbins is directed by Actor's Express Artistic Director Freddie Ashley.

It is a whirlwind of lawyers and love as sexual politics collide with legal brinksmanship in this whip-smart romantic comedy. Sy, an ambitious attorney, is in love with her co-counsel Madi, who in turn is involved with Chris, another lawyer in the firm. While in the midst of a high-profile legal case debating fine line between "fair use" and plagiarism, the love triangle gets complicated by a series of Cyrano-inspired love letters.

This hilarious love story was a 2009 finalist in the ALLIANCE THEATRE's prestigious Kendeda Graduate Playwriting Competition and went through further development in Steppenwolf's First Look Repertory program in Chicago.

The cast includes John Benzinger (Chris), Rachel Garner (Sy), Park Krausen (Maddie), Laura Krueger (Bec) and Tony Larkin (Don).

Fair Use preview performances begin November 5. Opening Night is November 8 and the production runs through December 5.
