In a concert devoted to the music of composer Aaron Siegel, the award-winning Young People's Chorus of New York City will join members of Mantra Percussion in the world premiere of Mr. Siegel'sThe Light Come Down, commissioned by Mantra Percussion, for the "Music at First" series at First Presbyterian Church (124 Henry Street) in Brooklyn Heights on Friday, June 1, at 7:30 p.m.

This concert is the second in Mantra Percussion's three consecutive performances devoted to the music of Tristan Perich on May 31, Aaron Siegel on June 1, and TEd Hearne on June 2.

They are Estuary and Go to Sleep, both for solo vibraphone, and two other Mantra Percussion commissions: excerpts from Brother Brother, an opera for percussion, strings, singers and actors, and The Man Who Lived in Rubato.

Tickets for each concert are $10 and available from musicatfirstsite.com.
