New York City-based indie theatre company, Outside Inside, will present the world premiere of MISS by Canadian playwright Michael Ross Albert.

Presented as part of The New York International Fringe Festival, MISS is a taut and explosive new drama about violent misdemeanors, professional misconduct, and missing the love you'll never get back.

Set in a private boarding school, MISS explores the tenuous connection between a high school teacher, her fiancé, and a troubled student. After a shocking accident irrevocably changes their lives, these three damaged souls are forced together to try and mend their broken relationships. The result is a tense three-character, hour-long drama about loss, grief, guilt, and revenge.

The world premiere production will be helmed by FringeNYC regulars, Outside Inside. Founded in 2011 by graduates of The Actors Studio Drama School, Outside Inside has produced four plays in FringeNYC to date, including the first major revival of Arch Oboler's sci-fi melodrama Night of the Auk, and the near-sold out run of The Grass is Greenest at the Houston Astrodome in 2014.

Directed by Outside Inside's founding co-artistic director Kaitlyn Samuel (For a Good Time, Call Kathy Blanchard, FringeNYC; BALDY, United Solo), MISS features an impressive cast of some of the most exciting up-and-coming performers in New York City. The cast includes Daniel J. O'Brien (Before and After, St Ann's Warehouse), Adam Petherbridge (In the Secret Sea, directed by Martin Charnin; Da, Irish Repertory Theatre) and Rosie Sowa (The Improbable Rise, Fall and Rise of John Law, Dreamscape Theatre).

Playwright Michael Ross Albert is the author of several plays including The Grass is Greenest at the Houston Astrodome (FringeNYC, published in "Best American Short Plays, 2014-2015"), Tough Jews (Top Ten finalist, Jewish Plays Project; upcoming production: Storefront Theatre), Waylaid (Last Frontier Theatre Conference), Karenin's Anna (Toronto Fringe Festival, "Outstanding New Play" - NOW Magazine), and The Big Sandy River Plays (Jenny Wiley Theatre). His play Starfishes received its world premiere at the Theatre at Dance New Amsterdam in 2011 and has been produced across the United States and Canada.

MISS was developed by Toronto theatre company, Unit 102, named Toronto's Best Small Theatre Company by NOW Magazine in 2015. Unit 102 will produce the Canadian premiere production of MISS following the world premiere in FringeNYC.

With a stellar cast led by a stalwart team of "FringeNYC veterans," and an intense, provocative script, MISS promises to be a unforgettable world premiere and a must-see production in The New York International Fringe Festival.
