Popular Broadway headliner and ABC nighttime musical soap newcomer Will Chase discusses his arc on Nashville as well as his growing affection for country music as part of a new interview.

Looking back at his own Midwestern upbringing, Chase says that country music unfortunately did not play a very large part for him growing up.

"I grew up in Kentucky and you'd think that would translate into growing up listening to country and bluegrass, but the two things we did not listen to in my home were country and bluegrass," Chase relates.

Furthermore, Chase reveals that he is enjoying sharing a set with fellow actor/singers, such as series stars Hayden Panettiere and Connie Britton, and that the fun translates off the set, as well.

"That's the other cool thing about this cast - we hang out a lot, which doesn't really happen a lot in television," Chase recounts.

Chase concludes, "Everybody on the show plays out - at the Opry, at The Bluebird. We tend to hang out and go see them."
