Wayside Theater Young Performers Workshops Recitals Set For 4/27, 4/28

Artistic Director, Warner Crocker announced today that the Wayside Theatre's Young Performer's Workshop Recitals are scheduled for Monday, April 27 and Tuesday, April 28 the Saturday Series Classes Recitals will be April 25.

The YPW performance will be held at Wayside Theatre, Middletown, VA. The Monday and Tuesday Recital performances are at 7:00 PM and the Saturday Series performances at 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM. Admission is Free to the public. According to Crocker, "To see young people performing on stage, developing a sense of assurance in their ability and working as a team, is exciting. And we are excited about the young people who take the classes.

We hope the public will attend and see what Wayside Theatre's "Education in Action" program has to offer the children in our regional area. The admission is free to the public and a great way to introduce children to viewing their peers' accomplishments."

Monday, April 27, 2009 Spring Recital performance will feature the YPW 1 Monday Class: Forrest Limon (Middletown), Kristofer Miller (Front Royal), Kristen Baggerly (Linden), Sarah Millard (Berryville), Hannah Arthur (Edinburg) and Ashley Salalaucks (Middletown) as Stage Manager, directed by Thomasin Savaiano. They will be performing a one-act play.

Tuesday, April 28, 2009 Spring Recital performance will feature the YPW 1 Monday Class: Myah Bales (Winchester), and Lucy Hardman (Woodstock) and Ashley Salalaucks (Middletown) as Stage Manager, directed by Thomasin Savaiano. They will be performing a one-act play. YPW 2: Natasha Vaught (Front Royal), Chloe Crane (Front Royal) and Emily Iden (Winchester) and Ashley Salalaucks (Middletown) as Stage Manager (Stephens City), directed by Thomasin Savaiano. They will be performing a one-act play and monologues.

Saturday, April 25, 2009 Spring Recital will feature the following YPPlayhouse: Mason Bib (Woodstock), Kisyl Housden (Front Royal) Benjamin Beaudoin (Stephens City), Abigail Beaudoin (Stephens City), Patrick Treutlein (Linden) Margaret Haun (Woodstock), and Joseph Haun (Woodstock). The performance will be staged managed by Ashley Salalaucks and directed by Sarah Blackwell. Performance will be at 10:30 AM.

YPW IMPROV! Class: Spencer Marfing (Winchester), James Barber (White Post), Matthew Hackney (Winchester) Emily Crawford (Front Royal), Nathan Cluss (Winchester) performing improv suggestions, directed by Chris Herring, will perform at 11:30 AM


The Wayside Theatre Performers Workshop Spring Recitals will be performed April 27 and 28 at 7:00 PM and are free to the public, as well as, Saturday March April 25 at 10:30 and 11:30 AM performances.

Wayside Theatre is the second oldest professional theatre in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and is celebrating its 47th of presenting high quality, professional entertainment.
