Walken in Talks for 'Wild Oats' Film

The Hollywood Reporter today writes that Tony-nominated BEHANDING IN SPOKANE star Christopher Walken is in talks to join the film "Wild Oats" written by Claudia Myers and being directed by Scott Marshall.

Already part of the cast are Shirley MacLaine, Maria Bello, Christina Ricci, John Corbett and Bill Pullman. The film is scheduled to begin shooting this August in both Connecticut and Nevada and tales the story of a widow who heads to Las Vegas with her granddaughter after a "pile of money falls into her lap."

With a career that spans numerous plays and musicals and over 50 feature films, Christopher Walken remains one of today's most iconoclastic and legendary actors. He has previously appeared on Broadway in The Lion in Winter, The Rose Tattoo and James Joyce's The Dead, for which he received a Tony Award® nomination. His film highlights include an Oscar-winning performance in The Deer Hunter, an Oscar nomination for Catch Me If You Can and acclaimed roles in Annie Hall, Pulp Fiction and Biloxi Blues.
