Vital Theatre Company Nominated for Chase Community Giving Award

Vital Theatre Company has announced that it has been nominated for a Chase Community Giving grant.  Vital Theatre Company joins other charities nationwide in competing for grants ranging from $10,000 to $250,000.  As of now, Vital Theatre Company fans will be able to cast their votes for the Chase Community Giving program through their Facebook and Chase accounts.
 
Patrons can log onto Facebook.com/ChaseCommunityGiving or Chase.com/ChaseGiving through September 19 to cast their vote for Vital Theatre Company

Now in its third year, the Chase Community Giving program has given out over $20 million to charities nationwide.  In the Fall 2012 round of voting, Vital Theatre joins over 30,000 eligible charities have been nominated.  In this round of Chase Community Giving voting, the focus is on smaller charities—nominations were limited to 501(c) 3 charities with operating budgets under $10 million.  In June, Chase customers and employees were given the opportunity to nominate their favorite local charities.  $5 million in grants will be split between the top 196 vote-getters among these charities. The charity that receives the most votes will be awarded $250,000, while the remaining 195 runners-up will split awards ranging from $10,000 to $100,000.

Vital Voices, our Arts-in-Education program, brings theatre arts to community schools.  Vital Teaching Artists work with public school students K-12 to introduce young people to the joys of writing, performing and designing.  Your Chase votes will allow us to help children and high school students in underserved areas by fostering self-confidence, creative independence, and artistic growth.
