Vincent Pastore, star of HBO's The Sopranos, is set to take the stage in The Theatre Project's upcoming new play reading of Barbicide. Barbicide was written by former HBO head-writer Sean Pomposello, and will be directed by The Theatre Project's Artistic Director, Christian Amato.
A re-imagining of the Sweeney Todd legend, Barbicide uses Mafioso mythology to bring an entirely new twist to Fleet Street. Barbicide is a tasty, norish, revenge play of interwoven monologues which underscore the consequences of coincidence and fate.
The Theatre Project will be presenting Barbicide as a Developmental Reading on April 20th, at the well suited Moustache Tonsorial located at 55 Greenwich Avenue. The reading is free and open to the public and will open at 9:00pm.
