Valerie Mahaffey to Guest Star on Season 3 of GLEE

Stage veteran and Emmy Award winner Valerie Mahaffey is set to guest star on FOX's GLEE as the mother of Emma Pillsbury, played by Jayma Mays, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Former "Happy Day"s star Don Most will play Emma's father. Tamlyn Tomita and Keong Sim will also appear this season as the parents of Harry Shumm Jr.'s character Mike Chang.

Mahaffey's stage credits include REX, DRACULA, PLAY MEMORY, THE LOVES OF ANATOL, TWELVE DREAMS, TRANSLATIONS, TOP GIRLS and TALKING HEADS.

Mahaffey won the Emmy for her work on "Northern Exposure," and received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for "The Doctors." Other television credits include "United States of Tara," "Desperate Housewives" and "Raising Hope."

To date over 33 million Glee songs have been digitally downloaded, with over 10 million albums sold worldwide. Glee scored three consecutive #1 releases with Glee: The Music, Volume 3 Showstoppers, Glee: The Music, The Power of Madonna and Glee: The Music, Journey To Regionals. The RIAA has certified Glee: The Music, Volume 1 Platinum (sales in excess of 1 million units) as well asGlee: The Music, Volume 2, Glee: The Music, Volume 3 Showstoppers and Glee: The Music, Volume 4 Gold (sales in excess of 500,000 units).

Glee makes its return to primetime on Tuesdays at 8PM ET/PT on September 20th on Fox.
