VIDEO: Sierra Boggess Announces Stage Door Fine Arts 2016 Season

Stage Door Fine Arts patrons and participants were in for a special surprise this evening when Broadway star Sierra Boggess (THE LITTLE MERMAID, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA) announced the theatre's 2016 season. Below, watch Boggess use her own unique flair and creativity to make the announcement!

Boggess posted the below video on her Facebook page, writing, "My best friend Paula Taylor started this company @StageDoorFineArts in Chicago and I got to announce their 2016 season!!! Get to auditioning people!! Check them out at www.stagedoorfinearts.com"

The season includes THE ADDAMS FAMILY, ANNIE, and MARY POPPINS.

Per their website, "Stage Door Fine Arts, Ltd. is dedicated to enriching the lives of youth and young adults through music, art, and theatre. We strive to give each participant a professional, disciplined experience while allowing for the chance to be creative, gain self esteem and most importantly, to have fun! Don Smith and Paula Taylor established Stage Door Fine Arts with the goal of providing a theatrical outlet for children of all ages that stretches beyond the average elementary, middle, or high school level. Both share a great passion for arts and education, and have extensive experience in performing and directing throughout the United States."

Sierra Boggess recently finished a limited run as Christine in The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. Other Broadway credits include the 25th-anniversary engagement in The Phantom of the Opera, the revival of Master Class and The Little Mermaid (Drama Desk and Drama League nominations). Her London credits include Les Misérables, the 25th-anniversary concerts of The Phantom of the Opera at Royal Albert Hall and Love Never Dies (Olivier Award nomination).

Other New York theater credits include Guys & Dolls at Carnegie Hall opposite Nathan Lane, Patrick Wilson and Megan Mullally; Love, Loss, and What I Wore (Off-Broadway; final cast); and Encores! production of Music in the Air. Regionally, she has been seen in Princesses (Goodspeed and 5th Avenue Theatre), and Les Misérables (national tour). Her recordings include the 25th-anniversary concert of The Phantom of the Opera (also on DVD), the symphonic recording of Love Never Dies, The Little Mermaid and Andrew Lippa's A Little Princess. Concert appearances include the BBC Proms at Royal Albert Hall, Lincoln Center's American Songbook series The Lyrics of David Zippel, The New York Pops at Lincoln Center, and Broadway by the Year at Town Hall. Boggess' engagements at 54 Below include Awakening: Live at 54 Below and Finding The Balance (The Journey of the Middle Child).
