The Sanatorium of Time
January 30 and 31, 2018

All performances will take place at Tmu-na Theatre and begin at 20:00

A new stage production
based on short stories by Bruno Schulz

A surprising, colorful and imaginative journey that interweaves all art forms together- theatre, art, music, movement and marionette theatre

Directed by Yafim Kucher, "The Sanatorium of Time" is his new stage creation, created from short stories written by the Polish Jewish writer and artist Bruno Schulz. The combination of different art forms reveals the inner world of an elder man on his deathbed who examines the life that he had. Voices and familiar faces from his childhood slowly appear in front of him and he goes on a final visit in the stages of his life. He meets everyone he ever loved- his parents, friends from school, friends from work and others.

The founders of The Akko Theatre Center are hosted with their productions in Tel Aviv,
at Tmu-na Theatre and at Habait Theatre

Founders of The Akko Theatre Center, Smadar Yaaron, David Maayan and Moni Yosef, present at Tmu-na Theatre and Habait Theatre their creations which represent the unique work language that the theatre developed, a language that puts the world and the immediate state of the artist in the center of the creation. The productions will take place on January 14 and 18, 2018.

A joint creation by directors Firas Roby and David Maayan.

Text: based on the text from the Yehuda-Judd Ne'ema documentary movie, Observation on Akko.
