Union Pool Presents MOUNTAINS, MIND OVER MIRRORS, GOLDEN RETRIEVERS, 1/22

Union Pool is excited to announce drone wizards and Thrill Jockey recording artists Mountains to the newly-renovated venue space on Saturday, July 19th. The Brooklyn-via-Chicago duo of tonal masterminds Brendon Anderegg and Koen Holtkamp create intensely panoramic soundscapes asMountains utilizing both acoustic and electronic instruments, fusing each layer into massive, melodic entities of sound.

This exclusive appearance will be the official record release event of their forthcoming album Centralia, out the following Tuesday, January 22 via Thrill Jockey. In effect, this will be the event to pick up an advance copy plus experience brand new Mountains compositions firsthand in an intimate venue setting.

Opening the night are labelmates Golden Retriever; the dissonant, ambient-skronk outfit from Portland, Oregon. Following will be Bushwick-based harmoniumist/electronicist Mind Over Mirrors. Music before and between bands throughout the night will be provided by DJ Jeff Conklin of East Village Radio.

This event starts at 9pm. Tickets are $10 available via Brown Paper Tickets.
