Following yesterday's report by The New York Post that the interactive supper club, QUEEN OF THE NIGHT, in the Diamond Horseshoe space of New York City's Paramount Hotel will close its doors this January, Randy Weiner, a Managing Member at Variety Worldwide, has issued a new statement to BroadwayWorld, stating the production intends to reopen in NYC.

"It has been both a privilege and pleasure to work with RFR and LDV in developing QUEEN OF THE NIGHT into a worldwide phenomenon," he said. "QUEEN OF THE NIGHT has been licensed for productions in Shanghai, Beijing and Tokyo. We look forward to announcing new developments for QUEEN OF THE NIGHT in 2016, including our new venue in New York City."

As of now, an official timeframe for the move has not been released.

According to the show's Official Web Site, tickets are still available for the New Year's Eve performance, which BWW has confirmed will be the show's final performance at the venue. A note on the show's site teases "New Space, New Secrets Coming 2016."

QUEEN OF THE NIGHT had its premiere on New Year's Eve 2013. Originally billed as a limited six-week run, the show had been extended multiple times since its debut.

Choreographed by Lorin Latarro, Queen of the Night is a dark debutante ball thrown by The Marchesa for her daughter Pamina. Queen of the Night is a fusion of performance, music, circus, cuisine, design, and nightlife that welcomes the audience into a wholly interactive entertainment experience. Drinks will flow, dinner is served, and over the course of the gala, guests will be engaged, entertained, and immersed in this genre-blurring initiation. Circus choreography is by Shana Carroll.

Queen of the Night was originally created to celebrate the reopening of the legendary nightspot Simon Hammerstein's Diamond Horseshoe (235 W. 46th Street, NYC). In 1938, the venue featured the greatest performers, top vaudeville acts, and the most beautiful showgirls in the world. It remained a vibrant, groundbreaking venue until it shuttered in 1951, where it remained vacant, until December 31, 2013 for the grand re-opening of the reimagined space by Hammerstein.

Recent celebrity attendance at Queen of the Night include Johnny Depp, Amber Heard, Jessica Alba, Neil Patrick Harris, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Jude Law, Hugh Jackman, Edward Norton, Rose Byrne and more.

Since 2014, the historic Paramount Hotel has been the official hotel partner of the Tony Awards. The Diamond Horseshoe has been the site of the Tony Award Nominations live ceremony. In addition, it has hosted the Meet the Nominees Press Reception and the Tony Nominee Luncheon. Additionally, the Paramount Hotel has hosted the Tony Honors Cocktail Reception in which the Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre, the Regional Theatre Award and Special Award Recipients were celebrated.
