The American Theatre Wing and XM Satellite Radio will present an interview with renowned theatre producers and five-time Tony Award recipients Barry and Fran Weissler, on their weekly theatrical interview show, "Downstage Center," on XM's On Broadway (XM Channel 28). The Weisslers will appear as the special guest on Friday, November 17 at 6 p.m. The show will repeat on Saturday, November 18 at noon, Sunday, November 19 at 7 p.m., and Wednesday, November 22 at midnight.

"On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of their Broadway production of Chicago, the Weisslers reflect on 10 years with Chicago not just in the United States, but internationally; recall their start producing tours of classic plays for Catholic schools in New Jersey; take exception to the application of the word 'revival' to their productions; and talk about the challenge of producing in the glare of tabloid attention," state notes.

The Weisslers have won five Tony Awards for their work on Broadway. Their productions include Othello with James Earl Jones and Christopher Plummer, My One and Only with Tommy Tune, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof with Kathleen Turner and Charles Durning, Gypsy with Tyne Daly, Fiddler on the Roof with Topol, Zorba with Anthony Quinn, My Fair Lady with Richard Chamberlain, the Tony Award®-winning production of Falsettos, Grease! With such stars as Rosie O'Donnell and Brooke Shields, Seussical and the Tony Award®-winning musical Annie Get Your Gun, which starred Bernadette Peters and Reba McEntire, and Wonderful Town with Donna Murphy and Brooke Shields and Sweet Charity with Christina Applegate.

Each new "Downstage Center" program is regularly broadcast at 6 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays at noon, Sundays at 7 p.m. and Wednesdays at 12 a.m. (all times EST). Following the initial run on XM, each program is made available for free, on-demand, internationally on ATW's website, www.americantheatrewing.org.  Visit www.xmradio.com for more on XM Satellite Radio.
