The producers of Jay Johnson: The Two and Only! have announced that the critically acclaimed Broadway show will begin a national tour in Spring 2007 at the Majestic Theatre in Dallas (Johnson's hometown). The Dallas engagement will be under the auspices of Dallas Summer Musicals; Michael Jenkins, director.

The Two and Only! is currently in its final performances on Broadway. Depending on ticket demand, the show will close after the matinee on Sunday, November 26 or Sunday, December 3.

Jay Johnson: The Two and Only! opened on Broadway to acclaim on September 28, and has been praised as one of the most unique attractions on Broadway in many a season.

"In his 30-year career, Jay Johnson has converted generations of ventriloquist-avoiding Americans with his unique blend of charm, anarchy and innovative wit. In Jay Johnson: The Two and Only! he deconstructs and demonstrates his lifelong obsession, aided by a "cast" that includes Bob, Amigo, Long John La Feat, Nethernore the Bird of Death, Spaulding, Arthur Drew, Jackie and Gaga, and Squeaky."

Jay Johnson: The Two and Only!  is produced by Roger Alan Gindi, Stewart F. Lane & Bonnie Comley, Dan Whitten, Herbert Goldsmith Productions, Ken Grossman, Bob & Rhonda Silver, Michael A. Jenkins/Dallas Summer Musicals, Inc. and WetRock Entertainment.

Jay Johnson: The Two and Only! is at the Helen Hayes Theatre, 240 West 44th Street. Tickets can be purchased at telecharge.com or by calling (212) 239-6200.
