The Theatre at the Duke Ellington Center for the Arts will present its first Theatrical Salon on Monday, October 10, 2011 at the Prince George Ballroom, 15 East 27th Street. The Theatrical Salon Series will introduce four theatrical events a year. These presentations are designed to give new works a forum for their future efforts.

The first play, Blacker, by Russ Weatherford concerns Oscar Wilde and the Dreyfus Affair. It features Eric Rudy, Graham Halstead, Dean Regan, Marnie Klar, Ayelet Afek, Josh Bywater, Sean Patrick Murtagh, and James Beckstrom. The Salon begins 7 PM with a cocktail reception followed by a salon version of the play at 8.

A limited number of tickets available to the public and may be reserved by visiting the Duke Ellington Center for the Arts website at: www.dukeellingtoncenter.org and going to the Events Menu.
