The Little Orchestra Society celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the birth of composer Gian Carlo Menotti and the 60th anniversary of his beloved opera, Amahl and the Night Visitors, with special holiday performances on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. This masterpiece of universal love and generosity, directed by John Sheehan and conducted by Edwin Outwater, highlights the color and excitement of Three Kings Day. Staged in a Latin American setting, this heartwarming performance offers the spirit of hope, joy and human kindness to audiences of all ages.
