The GroovaLottos Bring The Phunk To Manhattan

The Phunk Hits 2018 makes it's first stop in New York to promote the big Labor Day weekend show at SOB's. Meanwhile, the guys made new friends and fans in the parks of Manhattan.

It was hot in Union Square Park, with the farmer's market in full swing and the late afternoon tourist crowd milling about with folks getting out of work. Suddenly, the sounds of traffic were cut by a grooving bass line and funky drums as The GroovaLottos kicked off their first New York City Phunk Hit.

Distributing thousands flyers promoting their September 1st PHUNK PARTY @ SOB's, The GroovaLottos treated Union Square Park, Time Square, and 125th Street to a mini concert and street party, just like they do on the streets and in the parks of Massachusetts.

Joining the band for a very impromptu jam session was flutist and radio show host, Orlando Mcallister who captures parts of the Union Square Park performance on Youtube.

Last Wednesday, "The Concerto" by The ZYG 808 went on sale with downloads and streamings in the thousands, including a spike in sales shortly after his performance for the crowd gathered in Union Square.

The next Phunk Hit will be on August 12 at Herring Cove in Provincetown, MA.
