Gotcha Productions and Paige Price proudly present The Eyes Are The First Thing To Go – The Mid-Life Musical Comedy Revue as part of the New York Musical Theater Festival's Next Link Project, a juried selection process conducted by theater luminaries including Director Scott Schwartz, Avenue Q producer Robyn Goodman, 2004 Tony Award-winning writers Jeff Marx and Bobby Lopez, and Tony Award-winning director/choreographer Kathleen Marshall.

The Eyes Are The First Thing To Go takes a comic look at middle age, from ticking biological clocks and radical life changes to Empty Nest Syndrome and a trip to the proctologist! The Eyes … also explores the more delicate issues of identity and of aging parents. Songs include Late Night Chat, Am I Anyone Now?, Weekend Warriors and I Quit!

The Eyes… features Book, Music and Lyrics by veteran Broadway performers Jim and Bob Walton. Together, the brothers' writing credits include Double Trouble (A Musical Tour de Farce) and the musical cabaret My Brother's Keeper (Bistro Award).

The cast features Broadway stars Pamela Myers (Company), Beth Leavel (42nd St., Crazy For You), David Hibbard (A Class Act, CATS), Joseph Kolinski (Titanic, Les Miz), Laurie Walton (Showboat) and Tim Cross (Boobs! The Musical).

The award-winning creative team will feature direction by Mark Waldrop (Bette Midler's Divine Miss Millennium Tour, Bea Arthur on Broadway). Waldrop also directed and provided book and lyrics for When Pigs Fly (1997 Drama Desk Award/Best Revue; 1997 Outer Critics Circle Award; Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical, OBIE; Best Director nominations: Drama Desk and L.A Ovation awards). Choreography will be by Peggy Hickey (winner MTV Video Music Award for Choreography, operas and plays from NY City Opera to Goodspeed Opera House and PBS' Great Performances). Musical Supervisor is Kim Steiner (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, Forbidden Broadway). The New York Musical Theatre Festival is produced under the auspices of The National Musical Theater Network, a 501(c) (3) not for profit organization. Dedicated to discovering new works, new artists and creating new stars, NYMF will do for musical theatre what Sundance does for independent film: celebrate its diversity, creativity and future. NYMF is proudly supported by Time Out New York, AM New York, NYC and Company, Lindemanns, HX, Theatermania, Next, Gang Run Direct Printers, broadwayworld.com and Galvanic Printing, and is predicted to be the largest musical theater event in New York City's history.
