The Episcopal Actors' Guild will host a panel discussion with casting agents called Getting the Part After 50! Expert Advice for Actors of a "Certain Age" on Monday, February 24 at 7:00pm. The discussion will take place at Guild Hall at 1 East 29th St., New York 10016.

Many things get easier with age. Unfortunately, getting cast in a great part isn't one of them. But fret not! Casting agents Jay Binder and Jaime Fox will share what they look for in "over-50" performers, and how you can stand out at the next audition. The discussion will be moderated by Margot Astrachan (Producer, A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder). A reception will follow.

Jay Binder (CSA/Binder Casting) has cast over 70 Broadway shows including A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder, Gypsy, 39 Steps, and Dames at Sea (upcoming 2014).

Jaime Fox (CSA/Lewis & Fox Casting), along with partner Kristine Lewis, casts a variety of live, film, commercial, and industrial productions. Selected credits include Fisher Price Holiday Share the Joy and the films African Gothic, Red Right Return, and Road to Capri starring Virginia Madsen and Ian McShane.

The discussion will be $10 for EAG members and $15 for non-members. All proceeds are to benefit local performers facing financial crisis. To RSVP, contact Matt Roberson at (212) 685-2927 or matt@actorsguild.org.
