Recently, The Elisabeth Morrow School Orchestra was selected to perform the national anthem live in NYC at Pier 84 near The Intrepid for the Run10, feed 10 10 k Race down the West Side Highway. The Elisabeth Morrow Orchestra, which is the premier orchestra of the New Jersey independent school, was selected bycompetitive audition to win the spot to play the national anthem at this hugely attended race. Ashley Greene, star of the Twilight film-series, spoke at the event, which raised over $200,000 to feed New Yorkers in need.

Run 10, Feed 10 is a program whose goal is signaled by its name: each person who registers to run in 10-kilometer races to be held in New York and 10 other cities from Sept. 23 through Oct. 13, will result in donations through the foundation of 10 meals to people in need in the runner’s community. Right now, 16 million children are at risk of going hungry - they don't know where their next meal is coming from. The reality is there IS enough food in the world today for everyone to get the nourishment they need for a healthy andproductive life. Hunger is a solvable problem. By running a 10K with Women's Health, participants are instantly able to provide 10 meals for those going hungry in their local and surrounding neighborhoods.

Head of The Elisabeth Morrow School, Aaron Cooper, Head of Morrow House, Paul Baly, and Violin Faculty, Brittany Sklar, all participated in the race and fundraised for the cause. The Elisabeth Morrow Schoolpursues the highest educational standards in a supportive, creative environment for students in grades pre-k through 8th grade.
