About the Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center
Born out of tragedy in 1949, when a fire killed two children in a local migrant camp, out of the ashes rose the Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center. The Center continues to serve the predominately African- American and growing immigrant population on the East End. For many working families, The Center is a lifeline. Their children flourish in our many programs and play safely on the farm and fields donated to create The Center in the 50s."
