The 2018–19 Season Of New York Philharmonic Ensembles Begins The 35th season of the New York Philharmonic Ensembles series - chamber concerts showcasing Musicians from the Orchestra performing classical masterpieces and modern compositions in an intimate setting - will begin on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at Merkin Concert Hall. The opening concert will include Rossini's Duo for Cello and Double Bass; Dvo?ák's Terzetto in C major for Two Violins and Viola, Op. 74; and Tchaikovsky's Souvenir de Florence.

The Ensembles series continues at Merkin Concert Hall on Sunday, December 9, 2018, with a concert featuring Lotti's Trio Sonata in A major; Uhl's Kleines Konzert; Boccherini's String Quintet, Op. 11, No. 5; and Brahms's String Quintet in G major. The third performance of the series, Sunday, January 13, 2019, will feature David Amram's Fanfare and Processional; Smetana's String Quartet No. 1, From My Life; and Dvo?ák's Piano Trio in F minor.

The 2018-19 New York Philharmonic Ensembles series will continue with three additional performances on February 17, April 7, and May 26, 2019. More information on the 2018-19 season of Ensembles concerts can be found at nyphil.org/ensembles.

Since 1984 the New York Philharmonic Ensembles series has allowed audiences to experience the artistry of the Philharmonic's virtuosos in an intimate setting. Ensembles concerts are also offered on the Orchestra's international and domestic tours, on separate chamber music tours, and at locations throughout New York City.
