The 15th Annual Fresh Fruit Festival to Bring Art to Downtown New York

The Fresh Fruit Festival encompasses theater, performance, poetry, comedy, spoken word, music, dance, visual arts and some talents that defy categorization. Artists come from around the city, nation and, the world. Australia, Canada, Philadelphia, Chicago, Seattle, Boston, San Francisco, San Diego, France, Mauii, Israel, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, and all of New York City's boroughs and suburbs have been represented. This season, more than a dozen exciting new plays, musicals, dance works, art exhibits, and so much more will play at Wild Project, 195 East 3rd Street, NYC, July 11 through 24.

Chance, a new musical from New Musical Theatre of San Francisco will make its New York premiere at the festival along with and exciting plays like The Fierce Urgency of NOW by New York theatre veteran, Doug DeVita, as well as international entries like, the Compagnia KÖRPER dance company from Italy, who'll perform their signature full length work "Aesthetica-esercizio n°1"

Fresh Fruit Festival was the creation of two long established LGBT community arts groups: New Village Productions, producer of short plays including an international short play festival in conjunction with the Vineyard Theater and Gay Games 1994 and All Out Arts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit devoted to bringing together the diverse artistic, organizational, community and financial resources of the LGBTQ community in order to fight intolerance.
