TeatroStageFest, New York's premier Latino International Theater Festival is here! From now through June 28, 2009, 19 events, 23 performances, and over 50 artists from New York and around the world will be performing center-stage in Manhattan, Queens and The Bronx. TeatroStageFest is a celebration of local and international theater, dance, comedy, puppetry, and music performances for multi-cultural and multi-generational audiences!
Week 2 of TeatroStageFest will raise the curtain on a spectacular Children's Show from Spain - purely visual theater with no dialogue that features huge puppets in black light for children 4+. Two-show discount packages to the South American Series from Argentina and Chile will include access to TeatroStageLounge, a fun networking event for audiences that like to mingle with festival artists and enjoy a free glass of wine between the two short productions in Spanish with English supertitles. For a laugh out loud ride, Andres Lopez, Colombia's most popular comedian, will perform new versions of his two hilarious signature one-man shows. The celebrated FREE Artist Panel Series will reveal three distinct visions of Theater from Latin America, Spain and the U.S. through intriguing conversations with Broadway performers from "In The Heights"and international directors, actors, and programmers featured at the Festival, and the History of Cuban Theater Conference will bring together top Cuban theater professionals from New York and around the world.
