Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU), in association with Barry Burns Photography and Paula J. Riley, presents an Actor Resource Night (and "Speed Dating") on Monday, April 27 at 7pm at Precision Photos, 36th Street Studios, 260 W. 36th Street, 3rd floor, NYC. No, it's not really a date. Just a way to meet some really helpful people, including agent Ginger Dicce, manager/agent Robert R. Blume, personal trainer Don Panella, photographer Blu Toth and 6 others.

So what's this about "Speed Dating"? Is this a fix-up? Nah, it's nothing romantic. Is it an audition? Nah - no monolog slam, or need to be on. You don't even have to sign up for "Speed Dating" to party with us. It offers actors a chance to meet ten sponsoring hosts:

* Robert R. Blume - Step Forward Entertainment Group Ltd. / Beautifit Talent division
* Ginger Dicce - Ginger Dicce Talent Agency
* Jason Alan Caine - ActorArtist Design
* Steven D. Cirillo - Music Director and Coach
* Matthew Corozine - acting teacher (Meisner technique)
* Gwyn Gilliss / The Actors Market
* Rhonda Musak - Elizabeth Browning Studio
* Don Panella - personal trainer
* Blu Toth - Blueface Photography
* Laura Vannah - The Spiritual Actor

ABOUT SPEED DATING. How does it work?
In this ongoing series of TRU actor evenings, there are ten stations each manned by a sponsor who offers a service. In groups of ten, actors each begin at a different station, spending three minutes finding out about the service offered or asking for advice, then move to the next station. As a thank you, each station offers a coupon for a discount or special offer (these offers are given only to people who go through Speed Dating). At the end of a thirty minute circuit, the next group of ten is brought in. In the meantime, refreshments are served, and the following opportunities are offered:

Evaluations and consultations are also available with photographer Barry Burns and clothing stylist Judith Peluchette. Barry has photographed Tom Cruise, Patrick Dempsey, Van Diesel and other top stars. He has been a stage director and uses his directorial experience when photographing actors to help them connect.

Mike Canizares of Precision Photos will be on hand to offer free on-site photo retouching - bring a jpeg on a disc.

Sign-in starts at 7:00pm and the first "Speed Date" cycle is at 7:15. Admission is FREE for members of TRU; $10 for non-members. To reserve a space or to become a member of TRU, please call 212-714-7628 or e-mail TRUnltd@aol.com - RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Email reservations are preferred.

Space is limited to 30 participants per night. TRU Actor Resource Nights are held every third month, in addition to monthly seminars offered by TRU for actors.
