Suzi Shelton Band to Celebrate Release of New Album SMILE IN MY HEART with Family Concerts, 4/6 & 5/4

The Suzi Shelton Band will be celebrating the release of their new album, Smile In My Heart with two family concerts in the coming months. The first will take place on Sunday, April 6 at 2:00 and 3:30pm at the Children's Museum of Manhattan in the Tisch Building at 212 W. 83rd Street in NYC. The concert is free with museum admission. A Q&A will follow each performance. Greg Mayo and Abby Levin will join Suzi for this performance, previewing songs from Smile in My Heart.

The second concert, the Smile In My Heart CD release show, will take place Sunday, May 4 at 11:00am at The Bell House (149 7th Street, Brooklyn). Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children in advance and $15 for adults and $10 for children at the door. To purchase tickets, call (718) 643-6510. Marc Bazerman (Baze and His Silly Friends) will open for this concert.

Join Suzi and her band as they celebrate the release of her third album, "Smile in My Heart," including new hit songs "Fire Truck," and "Cinnamon Bear!" Special guest Mike Messer of The Dirty Sock Funtime Band joins Suzi onstage, as well as The Gumdrops and Horns.

The concert includes a special viewing of Suzi's new music video before the show. The event is perfect for families with kids ages 1 to 10 years. Food will be available for sale from Dizzy's Diner and kids will enjoy a hands-on creative project provided by Brooklyn Design Lab.

Suzi Shelton is an award-winning songwriter and performer who has been making catchy and meaningful music for families for more than a decade. She has performed at the White House and Symphony Space, and is a favorite among the hip tot set in her home turf of Park Slope, Brooklyn. The mother of two kids, Suzi also works and performs regularly with students at area schools. She also recently launched a "Skype with Suzi" personal performance service, and she hosts a popular monthly webcast. Suzi and her band plan a busy spring and summer concert schedule.
